These programs are off the air on every station, and other programs play in their place. Missing files are gone from disk or from Plex while a station still has them. Broken files won’t play. Damaged files play, but the picture or sound breaks up. Unsupported files play but can’t be shown correctly (Dolby Vision profile 5). Replace them with another version. Fix or replace the file, then choose Retry. Or let the list clear itself: a program comes off the list when Plex has it again under a new ID (after a file is renamed, for example), or when it’s missing and no station has it anymore. (Removed it on purpose? Take it off the stations its entry lists.) A program with a new file, or one the quick check took off the air, comes off once it passes the quick check. Problems found by the deep scan or during playback stay until the file changes. Retry also tells the checks to leave that file on the air.
The latest 200 entries, newest at the bottom. Select Warnings, Errors, or both to see only those. Select Access to see who signed in and from where. The access history is kept when StationPlay restarts.
Only Admins see this. While a station has viewers, StationPlay asks Plex every 30 seconds who’s watching what, and counts the time for each Plex user, station, and show. Viewing in other apps (through the M3U playlist) isn’t counted here. Time when two stations air the exact same program may not be counted either.
A viewing counts once it lasts a minute, so flipping past a station doesn’t count. StationPlay counts the streams Plex asks it for, so several people watching one station together in Plex (or Plex recording it) may count as one viewing. Stats are kept for 400 days. Today means since midnight.
StationPlay’s apps that are signed in, on which device and as whom. Signing one out ends its sign-in at once, away from home too. A sign-in also ends after 30 days unused, when its person gets a new password, or when they’re removed.
Plex and IPTV apps never sign in, so the tuner, guide, and stream addresses on the Add to Plex tab stay open on your network. Locked out? Create an empty file named reset-access in StationPlay’s data folder, then restart StationPlay. This removes every user and turns off sign-in, so anyone on your network can use StationPlay again.
…………StationPlay keeps the Plex guide up to date on its own: when a station changes, it asks Plex to refresh the guide. If it can’t (see Guide updates above), refresh the guide in Plex after you change a station: Settings → Live TV & DVR → your tuner → Refresh Guide. For a new station, also choose Scan for channels there so Plex adds it.
These apps refresh their guide on their own schedule (about once a day). After you change a station, refresh the guide in the app to see the change right away.
Every night, StationPlay backs up your stations, settings, the Broken files list, your logos (uploaded or from Plex), who can sign in, and the viewing stats. It keeps the last 7 backups in the backups folder inside its data folder. To keep backups small, Intro Bumper videos aren’t included; they stay in the bumpers folder. Restoring a backup replaces all of this with the backup’s copy, and StationPlay restarts to finish.
